October 13th is the last day to register to vote or to change your name or address. Anyone who registers by October 13th will be mailed a vote-by-mail ballot.

In-Person Voting on Election Day

Election Day is November 3

Rockaway Borough’s only in-person polling site will be Assembly of God Church, 113 E. Main Street, Rockaway.

Voting machines will not be used for the general election. In-person voting at the polls will be via a paper Provisional Ballot. Individuals whose disability prevents them from voting a paper ballot will have access to ADA-conforming voting at the polls.

Voted Mail-In Ballots returned via the USPS must be postmarked on or before November 3 and received by November 10.

In Person

You can drop your Voted Mail-In Ballot off at your polling location on Election Day. You cannot bring another voter’s ballot.

The Drop Boxes are all outside and under surveillance 24/7. They resemble a USPS Blue Mailbox, but are Red, White & Blue and display “Morris County – Official Ballot Drop Box.” The ballots will be picked up on a daily basis by county representatives. All security measures will be followed when collecting and transporting the Mail-In Ballots back to the Board of Elections. The Drop Boxes will be closed at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3.

Then, after you submit your vote-by-mail ballot, login at and navigate to your Election History or Mail-in-Ballot History.

When your ballot has been received by the Board of Elections, the web page will display Ballot Received Date. Once the ballot is accepted, the Ballot Status will show as Accepted.
