New Voting Machines
The new ExpressVote XL voting machines and e-poll books will launch countywide on Tuesday, November 8th General Election Day.

Early voting for the 2022 General Election will take place on Saturday, October 29 through Sunday, November 6.
(Monday through Saturday poll hours: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday hours: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).

Register to Vote
October 18, 2022 is the last day to register to vote or to change your name or address for the November 8, 2022 elections.
In-Person Voting on Election Day
Election Day is November 8
Rockaway Borough’s in-person polling site will be Assembly of God Church, 113 E. Main Street, Rockaway.
Vote by Mail
Completing Your Vote-by-Mail Ballot

Returning Your Vote-by-Mail Ballot
Voted Mail-In Ballots returned via the USPS must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the Board of Elections no later than 144 hours (6 days) after the close of polls.
You can drop your Voted Mail-In Ballot off at your polling location on Election Day. You cannot bring another voter’s ballot.
Ballot Drop Boxes
There is a drop box at the Municipal Building.

The Drop Boxes are all outside and under surveillance 24/7. They resemble a USPS Blue Mailbox, but are Red, White, & Blue and display "Morris County – Official Ballot Drop Box." The ballots will be picked up on a daily basis by County representatives. All security measures will be followed when collecting and transporting the Mail-In Ballots back to the Board of Elections. The Drop Boxes will be closed at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

When your ballot has been received by the Board of Elections, the web page will display
Ballot Received Date. Once the ballot is accepted, the Ballot Status will show as
