Health Department / Board of Health
The Health Department conducts inspections of food establishments, apartments, and rental homes. Health Services and Animal Control services are provided to the residents of Rockaway Borough through a Shared Services Agreement with the Township of Randolph. Services include:
- Clinics for blood pressure
- Flu Vaccine
- Male and female cancer screening
- Blood screening

The Board of Health holds meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month at the Community Center, 21-25 Union St., Rockaway, NJ.

Animal control services are provided to the residents of Rockaway Borough through a Shared Services Agreement with the Township of Randolph.
Dog and cat licenses are due by January 31 of each year. Click here for information and applications for dog/cat licenses.
Free Rabies Immunization Voucher Program
Free rabies vaccinations are available to all dogs and cats belonging to Rockaway Borough residents. Clinics are located at the offices of participating veterinarians between January 1 and February 28.
