Extended Grace Period for Payment of Taxes
Rockaway Borough has extended the grace period for the 2020 year second quarter property taxes to May 29, 2020. Read Resolution 68-20.
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Property tax notices are usually mailed out in July. Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the owner from paying property taxes or delinquent interest on late payments - per NJSA 54:4-64.

Taxes are payable quarterly on the first day of February, May, August, and November. There is a ten-day grace period. Payments must be made on or before the due date to avoid interest charges. Postmarks are not accepted.

Credit/Debit Cards are NOT accepted for in-person payments at the office; cash or checks ONLY.
