ORDINANCE TO EXCEED THE MUNICIPAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION LIMITS AND TO ESTABLISH A CAP BANK (N.J.S.A. 40A:4-45.14)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above entitled ordinance was duly considered and finally adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Rockaway at a meeting held on February 13, 2020 at the Community Center, 21-25 Union Street, Rockaway, New Jersey.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a complete copy of said ordinance may be obtained at no charge at the Office of the Borough Clerk, 1 East Main Street, Rockaway, New Jersey, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

ORDINANCE DESCRIPTION: This ordinance authorizes the Borough of Rockaway, that, in the CY 2020 budget year, the final appropriations of the Borough of Rockaway shall be increased by 3.5%, amounting to $332,991.00, and that the CY 2020 municipal budget for the Borough of Rockaway be approved and adopted in accordance with this ordinance. Any amount authorized that is not appropriated as part of the final budget shall be retained as an exception to final appropriation in either of the next two succeeding years.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Rockaway will hold a Budget Hearing on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 9:00 AM at the Community Center, 21-25 Union St., Rockaway, NJ 07866. Said budget hearing shall be for the purpose of discussing the proposed budget for the Borough of Rockaway for the year 2020 and for the 2021 Capital Budget. Official action may be taken.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is conducting its first Five-Year Review of the Rockaway Borough Wellfield Superfund Site located in Rockaway Borough, Morris County, New Jersey. This review seeks to confirm that the cleanup conducted at the site, which included:
Elycroft Avenue Road and Drainage Improvements: Work to be performed includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the drawings and described in the specifications.
