FEMA Flood Insurance Map Updates/Open House Events

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is in the process of adopting new flood insurance rate maps for Morris County. These maps are used to assess the flooding risk for properties, determine the requirement and costs of flood insurance, and the applicability of flood damage prevention regulations.

FEMA representatives will hold two open house events where residents can review the preliminary maps and learn how the maps may impact them. The meetings for Morris County residents will be held:

  • November 8 - 4 pm to 8 pm - Public Safety Training Academy - Gymnasium
500 West Hanover Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960
  • November 9 - 4 pm to 8 pm - PAL/Community Center (next to Lincoln Park Library)
10 Boonton Turnpike, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035
