Volunteers Needed

Would you like to help improve the quality of life for Rockaway Borough residents? Consider volunteering for one of the following positions:

Board of Health Member - The Board of Health oversees property maintenance, food licensing, housing, and other public health-related matters. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Community Center. The term of office is three years.

Land Use Board Alternate - Alternate members may participate in discussions of the board proceedings but may not vote, except in the absence or disqualification of a regular member of any class. The workshop meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month; regular meetings on the first Tuesday; both begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Center. The term of office is two years.

Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee Member - Assist in planning projects, events, and improvements, and recommend changes to Mayor and Council. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month, beginning at 8:00 p.m., at the Community Center. The term of office is two years.

Environmental Commission Member - The Environmental Commission was established in 2016 for the protection, development or use of natural resources, including water resources, in the Borough of Rockaway. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Community Center. The term of office is two years.
